The lives of women before Islam were like animals. In Arabic region the power was in men’s hand and they treated them as they wanted. No one can question to a man if he killed his mother, wife or daughter. They sailed them like things in to open market, no one there, who gave respect them or considered them as human being. ARAB killed their girls when they are born for nothing and few of them felt happy as they became rich after selling that girl. Islam gives high status to women and the same man not only ready for protecting his wife, sister, mother and daughter also sacrificing for women. Islam has set the boundaries and tells the limits of relations for both men and women.

Role of Women in Islam

               The role of women in Islam is very important let’s have a look at different roles that a woman plays in her life.

Mother: A mother gives birth and takes care of children. Make them grow and fulfill all their needs when they can’t tell what they desire.

Wife: A wife loves her husband and always ready to give any kind of sacrifice for him. She takes good care of his home and children. Arrange a house and makes it home for her husband.

Sister: A sister always praying for her brother and feels the pain like her brother. Needs protection from her brother and feels proud for him.

Daughter: She is totally dependent for everything in her life on her father. She loves him enough and demands from him for anything that she needs as Islam gives her full rights for that.

Position of Women in Islam

Unfortunately, in this modern and knowledgeable era even in some Islamic states or regions women don’t have their predefined rights. Media shows that women in Islam are mostly illiterate and the reason is that no one sends them in school or madrisa. Islam teaches and gives the proper guidance for every matter, but regrettably we didn’t follow them.If we are talking about Pakistan, there are women like Arifa, Malala and many others, who did something great, but our nation didn’t reward even thanked to them. If the same thing has done by a western woman, they will definitely give her photos and show as an example. So you can say the western have some values of Islam, but we don’t want to learn our own values. Islam has proper directions and rules set for women and give her special importance.
